The SomruS Cream Liqueur team sent me an excellent little care package to review their various cream liqueurs. They sent me one of their large bottles of coffee cream liqueur and a couple of smaller bottles of the mango cream and the chai cream. I enjoyed all of them equally, but this review will focus strictly on my coffee cream thoughts since it was by far my favorite flavor.
A cream liqueur is a liqueur that includes dairy cream and a generally flavourful liquor among its ingredients.
First, I want to talk about what a cream liqueur is, just if you aren’t familiar. The most famous cream liqueur would be Irish cream.
A cream liqueur is a liqueur that has dairy cream added. They are generally a lower abv than most spirits, and most likely, they are sweet but not super sweet in regards to other liqueurs. Cream liqueurs are perfect for sipping just on the rocks, or you can use them as part of a cocktail.
SomruS Coffee Cream Liqueur has an excellent balance between a coffee base and a rich textured Wisconsin cream. Every sip of Somrus is filled with a suitable amount of sweetness and coffee notes, and you can taste the hints of rum. SomruS Coffee Cream catches your eye with its beautiful rose gold bottle that looks like something a genie would come out of, and then it catches your palate with its perfect balance of flavors. SomruS comes in at 13.5% abv but is 100% gluten-free and has a 2-year non-refrigerated shelf life.
A creamy and luxurious coffee cream liqueur that satisfies.
I’ve been experimenting with SomruS for a little over three weeks. I’ve mixed with several different spirits and coffees. I’ve even made a couple of cocktails to pour over cereal; Somrus Coffee Cream Liqueur is as easy to mix as it is to drink straight. It adds a new level of creaminess and flavor to your everyday cup of coffee – hot or cold. SomruS Coffee Cream Liqueur has won my heart and overfilled my glass with its sweetness. Thank you, team Somrus for the opportunity, and I cannot wait to try what is next.
